Magdalena Davis is a Co-Chair of the Czech Green Party, former Mayor of Mníšek pod Brdy and biologist, who has dealt with environmental protection, social justice and human rights throughout her professional career. She got a master's degree in Biology at Charles University and a doctor’s degree at the University of Western Australia.
In Australia, she led biological surveys for environmental impact assessment (EIA) in connection with mineral extraction and construction of mining and transport infrastructure, published in scientific journals and provided consultancy services in environmental protection and biodiversity. At present, she works in municipal companies focused on waste management and remediation of old environmental burdens, as well as in the non-profit sector in the area of landscape restoration, climate education and research projects related to climate change.
